Two to Tangle

Enamem

As with a lot of improvised music, this requires a great deal of patience to get past the first few minutes of this album before surrendering to the chaos created by violin and piano. Tangle begins with what sounds like a confused insect flying inside a piano as it is tinkered with by a young child. Both musicians wander off into their own private solos until they both land on some common note which they then exploit until a crashing crescendo is reached. This is then repeated again and again for about an hour to either the delight or horror of the listener. EMANEM, Bittacy Rise, Mill Hill, NW7 2HH, England
