Gooey Love Songs

EMI/Capitol

Here we have a compilation of cheesy lovey songs from the ’80s. Tracks from Duran Duran, Boys Club, Double, Culture Club, T’Pau, Naked Eyes, Quarterflash, Cock Robin, Debbie Gibson, Climie Fisher, Sheriff, Benny Mardones, Cutting Crew, Bangles, and Tiffany. If you liked it the first time around you probably still will. I hated most of these the first time around and I still do. There are some redeeming tracks (Duran Duran, Cutting Crew, Naked Eyes), but most are only enjoyable to me in a comedic sense. Still, even in a humorous light, this is ten times as horribly awful as it is good. Suitably cheesy packaging.
