Blisters ranges from gothic folk to songs with a lot more rock influence than I really care for (possibly from William Tucker’s involvement?). Still, there are some amazing songs on here. Pat’s voice is as sumptuously dark as ever, and he still writes great lyrics. I tend to favor the rich, folksy stuff more than the gothic-rock oriented material, and those songs are wonderful.
