Kate Bush & Tori Amos

Gemini

Cornflake Girl

The first album to be released on Tori Amos’ new record label is a dream come true stunner. Eleven songs full of thunderous piano, dense strings, and harmonies with Tori and Kate that would make statues weep. The goddess of all music, Kate Bush, and her star pupil have become partners on an achingly beautiful album. “Cages” is a song about how women are restrained by women’s fashion. “Scarlet Traces” is a wonderful song where Kate and Tori tell two very different sides of a marital infidelity. Kate the wife and Tori the other woman. The only thing that may be better than this record is the fact Tori and Kate have been slated to headline this year’s Lilith Fair!
