Deep Sky triumphantly remix “Tempest,” their underground club hit from ‘96. Most will associate it with MTV’s electronic music program AMP as the show’s theme track. The boys J. Scott G and Jason Blum pulled out their bag of tricks for this one, and it shows. Besides the original, a superb remix by Tour de Force graces the A side. Tempest 98 is a mammoth-produced opus. Big sweeps dominate while you’re sucked into the musical vortex. Definitely in the same league as BT, PVD, and Oakenfold. I wonder how they can possibly top this? DJ essential.
