Promised Land

The Fourth Dimension

Higher Limits/Mutant Sound Systems

Dignitaries of the UK D&B camp release another edition of space age jungle jazz. Two CDs worth of it. The Fourth Dimension presents Slipmaster J in the mix with fifteen tantalizing hotties. Nookie and Larry Heard offer two sensational vocal cuts, “Derelict Love” and “You and Me.” Helen T is apparently a favorite of the Slipmaster, he used eight of her tracks on this CD. Check out CD number two. It compiles ten classic singles by Dee Jay Recordings, and represents the most current breakbeat collection available. Much in the same vein as Roni Size and LTJ who have both been included on previous editions, Promised Land, The Fourth Dimension delivers substance with no strings attached. Recomended.
