Richard X. Heyman

Cornerstone

Permanent Press

It’s been a good six or seven years since I heard Richard X. Heyman, and I’m glad to hear he’s still around and recording his particular brand of pop. Cornerstone consists of fourteen tracks of solid tunes, lush arrangements and a captivating and unique vocal harmony style. Song lyrics are good, though single, lonely people might find the the lyrics a bit too much on the bright side of love. It’s obvious that Mr. X dotes on his music and craft, and the result is an album that can stand repeated listening without dissipating into noise or over-familiar pap. Enjoy!
