Saint James Infirmary

Saint James Infirmary

Allied

Imagine a more chaotic/metallic Swiz and you’ve got a good launching point for Saint James Infirmary. The music is full throttle, rockin’ post-hardcore. Very good stomping around your room dancing material. I would rather hear the vocals recorded a little clearer. They’re buried in really thick distortion and it sounds like the singer has something lodged in his throat, or maybe he just sounds like that normally. The whole package is pretty good as is, but I think I’d like it even more if those vocals cut through the mix a little more. This is another record that almost crosses the border into alterna-land, but manages to keep my indie-centric attention anyway. Allied Recordings, P.O. Box 460683, San Francisco, CA 94146
