Vision

The Kids Still Have A Lot to Say

Cargo

Fine hardcore from this veteran New Joisey band. Vision play classic angry hardcore, the kind that sounds just fine in a basement full of teenagers looking for a way to release all that energy they weren’t allowed to all day at school. Classic hardcore like the kind associated with CBGBs Sunday hardcore matinees, where 200 or more kids storm the stage and dive off, celebrating the power of suburban youth.

What Vision sings about is a hyper-insensitive society that chews up and spits out messed-up kids and then expects them to magically snap to attention and “grow out” of all that angst. Vision point the finger at this society and all its hypocrisy and say “listen to us!” And that finger points quite well on songs like “Live Today,” “Pick of the Litter,” and “Mirror.” There’s no bullshit behind these folks who’ve been in the hardcore scene for nearly ten years now. Cargo Records, 4901 Morena Blvd., Suite 906, San Diego, CA 92117-3432
