Peter Case

Full Service No Waiting

Vanguard

Peter Case has finally been able to organically intertwine his two voices: pop and acoustic blues. Cuts like “Spell of Wheels” (co-written with his son Joshua Case) abound with lyrical imagery, his confident voice leading you through voluptuous musical terrain. “Honey Child” won’t let go, dancing with you until you finally spin off. The infectious chorus and down-home playing will have you hitting the repeat button often. This set of songs really showcase the mature, not stuffy side of Case. He knows when to really let go guitar-pull style and when to whisper you back in. If you’re into honest, storytelling troubadours, don’t pass this one up.
