Caustic Resin

The Medicine Is All Gone

Alias

Given the Alias Records less (mainstream) is more (unmarketable) benchmark that I’ve grew accustomed to, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that Caustic Resin could write melodic material and sing convincing modern rock. They sure don’t look like the headier-than-thou crew that you’d expect to be bowing at the Alias alternative altar. In fact, they look more like the guys who might replace the ceiling tiles at the company office – and maybe they do. (I think most folks would be surprised by the number of indie and major labels musicians who can’t make a living playing music.) Day jobs notwithstanding, Caustic Resin ain’t too caustic to resonate nicely in my brain. Alias Records, 2815 W. Olive Ave., Burbank, CA 91505
