Axis Sport

Axis Sport

Ernie Ball

Ernie Ball has recently added a Music Man “Soapbar” single-coil pickup to its popular Axis Sport guitar. The new “Soapbar” pickup, combined with Ernie Ball’s patented silent circuit, gives the Axis Sport the great tone the “Soapbar” pickups are known for without the extra noise. Other features of the Axis Sport include a lightweight ash body, a choice between a maple or rosewood fretboard, an optional vintage-styled tremelo, and Schaller locking tuners. The Axis Sport with the MM90 pickups has a list price of $1,400 with a standard bridge and $1,500 with tremelo. Ernie Ball, P.O. Box 4117, San Luis Obispo, CA 93403;
