MC5

Babes in Arms [Reissue]

ROIR

I believe this is the third time this music has been packaged. Originally part of ROIR’s cassette-only catalogue, it was transferred to disc and available as an import through their Dancetaria label. This latest unveiling is a good attempt at consolidating the MC5’s spotty career. This disc takes the meatier cuts from their three corporate releases, plus both sides of their original singles. It omits only their faux-jazz performances (which isn’t a bad thing). Barring the absence of their legendary “Black to Comm,” a standard at their live performances, this captures the best of the MC5. ROIR, 611 Broadway, Suite 411, New York, NY 10012
