Here we go again. Another so-called soundtrack album which is just an excuse to dump out a mix of old and new songs from a variety of different bands. The Replacements, Matthew Sweet, Missy Elliott, Parliament, and Run D.M.C. are dumped in with Third Eye Blind, Smash Mouth, and Guns N’ Roses. The soundtrack is for a movie about an all night high school party, but are seventeen-year-old kids really listening to the Replacements? Could be, but this record just doesn’t ring true as what a bunch of 1998 high school kids would really be listening to.
