Milk-Shed

Time

Fiddler

There is a deluge of bands that play fast, catchy pop-punk, but fewer and fewer have been catching my interest and holding it. Milk-Shed’s another welcome exception. Tons of energy, good lyrics, and fast, memorable melodies make these songs lodge in my head. Most of this is characterized by sugary infectiousness a la Sicko, Zoinks, In Like Flynn, or the like, but “Bastard” has more of a hardcore bite, which is pulled off just as well. I heard they had some trouble getting these songs recorded and out. I’m glad they persevered, as the first eight tracks especially are great pop-punk songs.
