Discount/Crettin’s Puddle

Split CD

Shock

This is a split CD from Australia. Crettin’s Puddle is an Australian band with heavily accented vocals and a sound that’s not far off from the Epitaph/Fat Wreck brand of pop-punk. Not my style. Discount have two songs from Half Fiction and two new songs written and recorded on tour. “Antiseptic” is a favorite from seeing them live, and is definitely worth picking this up for. “Fixing Rubble Building Us” is just clean (acoustic?) guitar and Alison singing and has a folksy feel to it. I like the idea, but something about this song doesn’t click with me. Shock Records, P.O. Box 22098, San Francisco, CA 94122
