Vader

Black to the Blind

Pavement

And who doesn’t love Vader?!? For years I have been hearing “Wow, have you heard the new Vader?,” and for years I have been trying to desperately find a release from this elusive death metal group.

Finally, Pavement has given me a copy, and you know what? It’s really good! Vader is a great death metal band! Aside from all of the usual features of a great death metal album (good production, excellent musicianship), I find the highlights of the album to be the razor sharp timing, which is at a similar caliber of what you would find on a Malevolent Creation album. Aside from that, they also feature rather energetic and creative song writing. Check out the songs “Carnal” and “The Red Passage,” of which the opening riff should make you a fan instantly. Go buy a Vader album before Tipper Gore becomes the First Lady, and no one can buy cool music anymore. Pavement Music, P.O. Box 50550, Phoenix, AZ 85076; http://www.pavementmusic.com
