Walt Mink

Goodnite

Deep Elm

Like the runty kid on the team who plays his heart out but can never seem to score, Walt Mink has been churning out pop-perfect albums for about as long as Ink Nineteen has been around, without really hitting one out of the park like they deserve. This is a recording of their last live show ever, and it summarizes not only their sadly obscure career but also their unique sound – sharp and clever lyrics wrapped around melodies that are precariously balanced on a mix of propulsive guitar and drums – not unlike the Poster Children, but with a unique twist of their own. It may be too late to encourage the band by buying this record, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get it and play the hell out of it. Deep Elm Records, P.O. Box 1965, New York, NY 10156
