If We Only Knew Then What We Know Now…

Metal Blade

Billy Sheehan has gotta be the coolest bass player in the world. He also reads L. Ron Hubbard and doesn’t wear earplugs, cuz if you’re a Clear you don’t have to. Apparently, from what I understand, they can hear footsteps up to 3 miles away on a good day. Also: Eyeglasses are a form of insanity. That’s what I learned from reading Dianetics. I actually found the book to be quite difficult to read, and I think I skipped over some important parts. Ron would be pissed, because in all his books, he has a disclaimer that says, “The only reason a person gives up a study or becomes confused or unable to learn is that he or she has gone past a word that was not understood… in studying this book, be very, very certain you never go past a word you do not fully understand.” Billy Sheehan is also quoted in the front of Dianetics: “Using Dianetics Technology, I became more and more freed up. I used to play one note with one finger, and now there are no limits.” I always was confused by why they referred to a Philosophy or Religion (whichever it is) as Technology. Dude… the bass solo just came on… it’s fucking nuts! How does he do that? I think I better go back and read that book again.
