Neglected Sheep

Geno Died

Livestock

Pretty good jangly power pop music circa 1995. Jeez… I’ve had the record for less than four months and it’s nearly four years old… Oh, well…

All their songs have good rhythm and most have decent “power.” The exceptions being the depressing “Why,” a long ballad that sounds like Don McLean won an arm wrestling match with Metallica, “Feel My Way,” which sounds like Eddie Vedder covering the Beatles, and “Say” which sounds like Eddie Vedder describing his undergoing some sort of horrible torture.

Other than those three… OK, I must admit that “Annie Brewster” and “I Belong” are nice, happy, upbeat tunes that make up for what otherwise sounds like a Pearl Jam tribute band trying out its original numbers on an off-night.
