6X

Kung-Pow!

Daemon

6x, led by the exciting Lara Kiang, is a fun, bubblegum punk outfit, with it’s roots easily traced to the early 80’s with bands like the Go-Go’s and Blondie. Rather than leading a nostalgia trip, 6X is playing with their sights firmly set on the 21st century; they just understand who has gone before them, and you can hear the ghosts of Deborah Harry, Chrissie Hynde, and Joan Jett in their songs. For anyone still laboring under the illusion that Daemon is just a folk girl label, open your damn ears. Daemon is one of the more diverse and consistently interesting labels around. You never know quite what you’re going to get, but rest assured it’ll be good.
