Bill Wolford’s Head

Innova/American Composer’s Forum

“A Compilation of Collaborations” states the subhead. Wolford, guitarist, shares fourteen compositions of varying originality and quality, mostly on the good side, from five years of jamming with friends and family. Though none of tracks here instantly grab me, I must admit that I have grown fond of more than a few after repeated listening – like the low-key “Jazz Musik,” with a coolly swaggering bass line and chorus of “jazz music, can’t stand it.” Plenty of inspiration for those who are patient.
