Roots Manuva

Brand New Second Hand

Big Dada

The pulse of the urban sprawl finds an authentic voice in which its many faces can be exposed. Although hailing from Brixton, England, Manuva speaks frankly and universally of the rudeness and of the occasional beauty rumbling on both sides of the Atlantic. His surroundings a re-interpreted through rhymes and rhythms in various shapes and forms. Brand New Second Hand features dub, roots, hip hop, soul, dancehall, and techno to seduce and entice. This isn’t an assault to your ears with some obnoxious hornblower bitchin’ about dem niggas and hos, but a refreshing reminder that Roots Manuva isn’t to be confused with the regular rift raft.

Big Dada, 1680 North Vine St., Suite 508, Hollywood, CA 90028
