Vital Cog

This particular benefit is for ALTER (Animal Liberation Through Education and Reform), an organization dedicated to… well, you can figure it out. The album leads with a very strong Lisa Germano track (“Starfish”), and meanders up and down through a fairly diverse collection of tracks. High points include contributions by Cinerama, Silkworm and Heatmiser (? – must be an old track). A good cause, and there’s enough quality music to warrant a purchase.
