Rock Scissors Papercuts

‘Cane

Anyone between Miami, Orlando, and Tampa remember Donut Run from a few years back? That seemed to be their stomping grounds. Anyhow, this is the band that formed from the remnants of that band. The straightforward pop-punk has grittied up a little, but it’s still pretty much straightforward pop-punk with Green Day-ish vocals intact. Okay, they have grown up a bit, and the music has, too, but I can hear the pop punk spirit still even in the slower songs. I like this, not just because of the ghosts it invokes, but because the music has that certain somewhat-grown-up pop-punk charm that catches me in the right way.
