The Metalunas

X-Minus-One

American Pop Project

Like Man or Astroman?, only not as trebly. That’s an unfair way to put it, for both bands involved, but that’s how I’d say it in eight words or less. The Metalunas also “sample” some old science fiction reels to put between songs, and they do have some jolly good ones. The standout track for me is “Enemy Approaching,” a skittering spy-theme and organ number that blends in moments of melodic sunshine. Worthy!
