Bionic Milk Plant

What the hell – is that Chris Rock speaking Ken Nordine’s “Brown” as the introduction to this album? Brown 25 is a completely eclectic collection of music, completely unfettered by the hobgoblins of consistency and entirely performed by this brown25 person. “Stool Sample” could easily pass as one of Beck’s, and that haphazard mix of styles continues through the record. “Tarnation” is a riffy acoustic number, ending with a banjo breakdown, that has me nodding my head even when it’s not coming out of the speakers and only bouncing around between my ears. If you like your music impossible to classify, this is your new favorite record.
