Swedish Egil, pronounced “eagle” for those unfamiliar with him, has produced yet another dance mix in the popular form known as “house.” Although not as sappy as “happycore,” Global House still features divas with a disco sensibility. There are Suzanne Palmer, Jocelyn Brown, Kim English and Donna Blakely to satisfy your womanly instincts and a competent host of remixers to shake your booty to. Familiar names like Armand Van Helden, Perpetual Motion, JS-16, and Camisra are shuffled with newcomers Eddie Amador and Cevin Fisher to create a tepid mix of “house” music. This may be for those who still call their mothers once a week.
