Ohhhhh boy. Another Trans Am album. I guess your questions should be as follows…

1) 1) Do I need another album by Trans Am?

2) Do I enjoy robot music?

3) Did I like when Midnight Star used that voice synthesizer to sing “Freekazoids, Robots, please report to the dance floor”?

OK, at one point I feel like I’m in that Tom Petty video where he’s in an apocalyptic future and he and his bandmates find a storage shed full of all sorts of 20th century goodies like video games, Battlestar Galactica reruns, guitar solos, and slot machines. I liked that. I guess that’s sort of the feeling I get, but I also get the feeling that I’m in the 20th century and there’s this band that thinks synthesizers, bad early ’80s computer graphics, and classic rock is funny.

Flaming Ears

Screen Reviews

Set in the year 2700 in the imaginary city of Asche, Flaming Ears is a daring micro-budget sci-fi film from 1991 that envisioned a dystopian urban landscape that now seems eerily familiar. Lily and Generoso share their thoughts on the film’s new 4K restoration.
