16 Easy Songs for Drill and Banjo

Binky

I thought this was going to be great, but I was disappointed instead. Where’s the drill?

All kidding aside, this is actually a lot of fun. West plays a mean banjo, and his songs are funny to boot – yard sales, marijuana legislation, homes that fall apart and the Peruvian charango all get a whirl. Despite West’s obvious Southern drawl and the plunking of the banjo, these aren’t the simple-minded moonshine-chuggin’ anthems you’d expect. Even at his funniest, there’s some sort of real message going on there, and on songs like “Melissa,” West gets deadly serious. A guaranteed good time.
