I first became aware of Mr. Lady Records with Kaia’s excellent Ladyman album. In the last few months, a small avalanche of Mr. Lady CDs have come my way. This latest is a sampler of their artists. Although not everything struck my fancy, it shows the depth of the label’s roster. Mr. Lady boasts some signings of bands that have had a decent run on other labels. The aforementioned Kaia, Sarah Dougher, Tribe 8, and Retsin all have tracks on this disc. Mr. Lady Records is a label to keep your eye on and your ear ready for.
