Foo Fighters

There is Nothing Left to Lose

Roswell/RCA

Wasn’t Dave Grohl Nirvana’s manic drummer? I know Ringo had his share of post-Beatlemania hits, but this Grohl guy is on fire. More impressive is the fact that each Foo Fighters CD is better than the last. “Learn To Fly,” “Aurora,” “Next Year,” and “Ain’t It The Life” are catchy, yet ballsy in a way that suspends any concern for where this music might fit in today’s (oh) boy band marketplace. In a vacuum, the Foo Fighters might be the perfect band. They just might be without that vacuum – and that doesn’t suck.
