The Causey Way

With Loving and Open Arms

Alternative Tentacles

Gainesville’s Causey Way, which will take great pains to proclaim themselves “not a cult!” while simultaneously doing everything in their power to make themselves appear to be just that, are one of those “concept” bands which happily stands plenty well based on its music alone. That music is equal parts Devo-inspired analog keyboard geekrock and new surf/space guitar rock (a/k/a Man or Astroman?) , with a little bit of the B-52’s and Flying Lizards thrown in for good measure.

Darkly appealing, I could easily hear this being played on some SubGenius Radio Hour show. Which is a good thing. Buy so I can be elevated to Category C now!
