Making the Road

Fat Wreck Chords

Really cool black and white cover with this samurai guy who has just slain all these people. Well, if you’re into that kinda thing… Three Japanese guys playing music very much like that usually found on this record label. It is fast and similar bands would have to be NOFX, No Use For a Name, and many other fast and poppy bands. It is interesting to decipher some of the pronunciations, though. Some real cool song titles on this: “Teenagers are All Assholes,” “Just Rock,” “Tinkerbell Hates Goatees” (which is a pretty groovy calypso song… yeah). Bye.

The fact that the band Slaves to Sirens exists is impressive, but that they live, love, and breathe to play metal takes things to another level. Sirens documents the journey. Review by Charles DJ Deppner.
