Mrs. Fun

The Best of Mrs. Fun

Daemon Records

Connie Grauer and Kim Zick have been playing together as Mrs. Fun for over a decade. They are musician’s musicians, and have recorded with the likes of k.d. lang and the Indigo Girls. Their new record, The Best of Mrs. Fun , features a dozen tracks from their rather lengthy career. Mrs. Fun plays an odd electronic fusion jazz mixed with almost beat style lyric delivery. They verge on space music without ever getting too far into the ozone. There is a great strength to their sound that is easily attributed to the technical skills of Grauer’s keyboards and Zick’s drumming. People into technical brilliance will be greatly pleased with the sounds of Mrs. Fun, but those into good songs will not feel alienated.
