Haywood

Men Called Him Mister

Self-Starter Foundation

I have always wondered what became of this band. I had their split seven inch with Mariner Nine on Crank, and liked both bands a lot. Apparently, Haywood have been around since 1992, and have released a few records, this being their second full-length. Looks like I have some holes to fill.

Haywood exist somewhere in the comfortable middle of the nebulous realm of indie rock. It’s a good place for them to be – they have a lot of great company and can hold their own amongst most of them. Sincere, honest, good songs. These are the kind that creep in on repeated listens. Nicely done.
