Designing a Nervous Breakdown
Indie emo pop rock that feels… Awesome. Yes. Modest Mouse-like vocals that stretch and whine over a Get-Up Kids inspired explosion of straight ahead pop and electricity laden indie rock hooks. The brighter edge of emo. Cool synth squealing into the mix with a tip of the pogo happy hat. This is fun, this is good, this is happy, this keeps on moving. The dynamic mix of male and female vocals gives it a nice twist, and it swings in a way that sings. Guitar sweeps over rock steady rhythm section, light on the feet, dancing and jabbing. Then it goes down low, mixing a breath (minty fresh) of the ’80s and some pure sugar sweetness. A good mix, and done well. Like a taste of summer for when you need it the most.
