Brian Sokel of Franklin has the AM/FM recording side project. At some point, Mike Parsell (formerly of Frail) signed on board to help out. Some other friends are helping out on here, as well. Which so far has told you a lot, yet not really anything, as AM/FM is far removed from Sokel and Parsell’s past endeavors. Audiot is steeped in the pop goodness of gentle strums and slides on guitars. Breezy melodies float here and there, at times reminiscent of melodies I’d more expect out of the ’60s or ’70s. Not that I’m complaining. Refreshingly smooth and sweet.
