Bodgan Raczynski

Thinking of You

RepHlex Records

Bogdan Raczynski’s contempt for electronic dance music is more palpable than ever on his latest release, the third installation of his beat-driven trilogy. The rhythms are characteristically complex and bizarre (my reactions range from ROCK THAT SHIT! to WHAT THE FUCK?) and his sense of absurdity is still strong. Perhaps the outstanding track (at least from an autobiographical, if not artistic angle) is “Fuck You DJ,” a hate-filled diatribe levied against goa-addled taste-makers that won’t respect Bodgan’s decidedly four OFF the floor sense of polyrhythm.
