Strings For Satellites

Devil in the Woods

Almost dreamy rock, spacing out underneath high airy vocals and fuzzed out semi-sixties guitar psychedelia. Not quite Galaxie 500, but not quite beach party, either. Makes me feel like floating over the ocean, waves of melody under my head, carried through wind blown fields as the music soars. Strong rhythms, but not hard. Sort of like a drugged out Built To Spill, laid back and relaxed, but with some of the same dynamics buried in the haze… sort of like sitting at the window, waiting for the rain. It’s upbeat melancholy.
