If alternative country went even more mainstream, the country hiding behind the amplification of rock guitar and coming out only in rhythms and sometimes the vocals… you know, that “alt.country” kind of voice? This guy’s got it. Unfortunately, it gets lost when the band starts doing some totally-uncalled-for metal licks right in the middle of a song. It almost becomes rockabilly at times, too, but it never quite makes it. It’s rock. Rock n’ roll over (and over and over).
