Sally Taylor

Apt. #6s

Blue Elbow

Sally Taylor certainly has the genetics to make it in the music business. The daughter of James Taylor and Carly Simon has released her second CD, Apt. #6s. Even with the superstar pedigree, Sally Taylor is pursuing the indie route with her music, which shows obvious influence of her parents and their contemporaries, but manages to create her own sound. While not blessed with her mother[base ‘]s pipes, Sally Taylor still punches through her songs with some authority. Her songwriting is solid and Stays clear of many of the clichés that seem to plague so many young artists. While by no means a classic, Apt. #6s is certainly worth a visit.
