Beyond the Final Frontier

I’m not sure where to go with this. I’m not sure why this is here, but I’ll just give you the facts. Lush and extremely dramatic music from far-out films you’ve either never seen or seen too many times. This is a heavy two-CD set, with music played soundtrack-smooth by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. It’s not the most energetic, get-up-and-go music, but it can make the simple things in your day-to-day life become so much more. Imagine eating a sandwich while the theme to Strange Invaders is playing. What an adventure. Lying in bed with all the lights out as you listen to the suite from Galaxy Quest, or the end titles from Lost In Space… it’s a whole new reality, and you can almost fly. Personal favorites (surprisingly) include the Ghostbusters theme, Back to the Future, and The Last Starfighter, but others will probably enjoy the selections from Star Wars and Star Trek. If space just ain’t your thing… there’s also The Matrix, Robocop, Meteor, and oh-so-much more. Definitely not recommended for cocktail parties or background music during drug experimentation, but used properly, these sounds can take you away from where you are right now.
