The Fairways / Three Berry Icecream

Permanent Vacation Split EP

Dogprint

Short and sweet – both the Fairways and Three Berry Icecream distinguish themselves as purveyors of delicate pop, the kind that will intrigue fans of Belle and Sebastian or the New Zealand pop clique. Moreover, each band trades one track, so that we have a Fairways song performed by Three Berry Icecream and vice versa. Mayumi Ikemizo’s “Fine Day” (performed by the Fairways) features a beautiful melody worthy of Brian Wilson and chord changes worthy of Paul McCartney. Nice.
