When the World Sings
Tooth & Nail
Not what I was expecting off of Tooth & Nail, but this is… this is pop. Like some Psychedelic Furs or upbeat Cure riff. Eighties pop, but with a darker edge. Nice synth sounds and keyboards that take me right back to Modern English’s “I Melt With You.” Female vocals that fit perfectly in with the melody, and beats that make drum machines smile. I’m thinking that the vocals are male now, but perhaps they mix them up. This is summer fun, this is slow-motion romance in the springtime. While most of the songs are energetic and upbeat, they get into mellow moods at times, with a very dramatic flair, but still fun. British melancholy pop music, and then it moves up and into the sunlight, and you just gotta dance.
