Forgets Their Manners

Big Wheel Recreation

A short but powerful five-song EP that makes you want to just jump up and down, trying to catch the lyrics and sing along before they speed out of sight. The third song, “Star Crossed,” seems to be the breather between explosions, taking it down to just below the speed limit. The guitars chug and chunk and growl and rip, kind of like Jimmy Eat World but thicker, and the songs all seem older. Not like tired, but like “yeah, been there, and we’re still here.” There are some pop-rock melodics stuck between the bite of the bass and the teeth of the guitar, while the drums keep that beat steady beat. Then it’s over, and I want more.
