Malvado

This is unsettling electronic music, the sort of thing you hear right before something jumps out from behind the curtains, something with a long silvery and red knife. Scattering odd samples (like the Simpsons) around compositions that alternate between being heavily textured and heavily rhythmic, Otaku take a variety of approaches to holding your interest. Of note are the two closing tracks, each longer than ten minutes. “Other Side of the Sun” is a slightly Indian sounding journey, and “Overture to 2313” is the soundtrack to your first spacewalk.
