Shirley

City Of Dust

Ranger

It must be something in the water because there is suddenly an absolute onslaught of gifted singer/songwriters from New England. The latest is a trio of girls from Providence, Rhode Island called Shirley. Led by songwriter Caroline Shirley, these girls are able to play sweet or get rough depending on the situation. They aren’t afraid to play music that actually has a pulse. Shirley also manages to cut loose with some funny, slightly raunchy, country tunes. By no means a classic, Shirley’s City Of Dust is still a fun, vibrant, and refreshing change of pace.
