Stairwell

Pacific Standard Time

Takehold

After listening to this mild pop punk album from Stairwell, I tried to think about what I would write in this review. I listened to the album several times to try and find something about the band that makes them unique and worthwhile so I could write about it. Alas, there is nothing. This CD is 11 tracks of bland pop punk about girls and vague emotions. High-pitched harmonies sing over unmemorable guitars. It’s like if MxPx had a little brother who wanted so bad to be like his cool older brother, but it just wasn’t happening. It’s not bad; it just doesn’t stick out from the mess of pop punk. I think the band has three guitars though. That’s kind of cool.
