A3

La Peste

Columbia

If you know them at all, you probably know them as Alabama 3 or, most likely, as the band that does the theme song for The Sopranos. “Woke Up This Morning” has not only become A3’s signature song, but has also placed them on the musical map. Their new record, La Peste, presents eleven new songs that shows A3’s distinctive sound well-intact. The almost-unimaginable blend of techno, country, blues, hip-hop, rock, and gospel creates a luscious, distinctive sound. You wouldn’t think the mix of styles and influences would work, yet they pull it off with ease, even turning the Eagles’ “Hotel California” into a good song.
